This is a 3-part CBC documentary series from 2005 featuring Berlin, Paris and Shanghai, notorious hot spots of vice, debauchery and corruption in the years between World War I and II.
In Paris, prostitution was legal and the brothels flourished. Petty thieves, dope peddlers and street walkers packed the all-night bars of Montmartre, where cheap sex and booze drew in the tourists.
