Lonely Punk is a lo-fi indie-pop duo from Vaksdal, Norway. They draw inspiration from folk, hiphop, electronica, rock and pop. Their melodies have a touch of melancholy wrapped in an upbeat framework. Both member’s strong a fection for bands such as The Cure, Cocteau Twins, Lykke Li and Portishead are much to blame.
The band version of Lonely Punk was formed back in 2008 when Kevin By met an Englishman called Julian Mills. Julian had a solo project with the same name and they decided to develop a band to play live and do further recordings. They have since been through many phases / lineups with different members, but they have now settled on a duo solution: Julian Mills on drums, guitar, ukulele and vocals Kevin By on bass, keyboards and vocals
